You're absolutely right, Tyler! In our defense, our blog was originally started to discuss Referendum One, but there is no reason we shouldn't still be talking about education issues. We'll be reviving our blog very soon and we'll focus on shedding light on some things going on right now that need more discussion.

Thanks for your thoughtful post. Hopefully others will forget about their fatigue and get back in the fight!

I agree with David; many bloggers who talked education got burnt out. I've posted twice on education issues since November, but I have to admit that there's little incentive to post more without some new fresh idea or perspective to discuss.

You got me. "Why did I get this random link on an issue that I have not been discussing recently?"

I think I understand one reason why the issue has been put on the back-burner by so many - fatigue. After the emotional investment late last year I don't think I was alone in wanting to take a deep breath and talk about something a little less charged. That and the fact that it's hard to pursue a subject that is not being talked about as much when there are other issues - transportation (where I live) and health care reform for example - that are being discussed more are the explanation of why I have not posted on education since mid December.

That being said, I am more than willing to participate in discussing merit-pay for teachers and class size reduction.
