Not Exactly Original (But Close)

As I thought about actually going to bed and getting some sleep this weekend, I did as I usually do and find just ONE more thing to check out before I hit the sack. I decided to google “Desultory Thoughts Blog” [google.com] and see if I had come up with an original title for my new blog.

As it turns out, there are a couple of other blogs that share in what I considered a seldom used word such as “desultory.” I found one blog called “D for Desultory” and another entitled “My Desultory Blog.” So much for trying to be original.

Desultory Thoughts

My first entry in “Desultory Thoughts” (and believe me, they will be desultory) is being made from a Firefox extension by Google called “Blogger Web Comments for Firefox.”

It’s a great idea and it’s what inspired me to start blogging again. My previous attempts have failed miserably, starting with a measly two posts on Blogger.com (my first blog was called “Random Words and Opinions,” as well as my MySpace.com [myspace.com/tylerslack] site which has at this point a total of ZERO entries.

We’ll see if I can’t get past two entries this time.

desultory \DES-uhl-tor-ee\, adjective:
1. Jumping, or passing, from one thing or subject to another, without order or rational connection; without logical sequence; disconnected; immethodical; aimless; as, “desultory thoughts”
